I’ve not been around much, but:

I've been living by this for a while. I'll be back when I have more than five words to share :)

Survey! Yeah!

I love surveys,

I admit it. It's kinda stupid but ever since I was a kid I just love filling in those little round or square boxes. Somehow makes me feel good.

Anyhow, since I've dedicated this blog to 'something usefull' I would like to know what you, the reader, thinks of as usefull. Thus: this survey.

It's only ten questions, of which one is 'what is your age' so it's very doable. PLUS you'd make me superduperhappy with it. So pretty please?

I will make nice pictures like this one:

The Royal Wedding

At nine,

I turned on the tv, and I didn't stop watching until I was entirely sure Kate and William were not coming out again. I'm a sucker for royal weddings. I love it. Specially the British ones, with all their horrible/lovely hats and outfits. I get all excited when the dress is about to show (my guess for the dress was right by the way, ha! I should have put money on it..). Also I couldn't help but feeling for Harry and William, but I know for sure their mom was there with them. On twitter The Queen kept me very entertained, espically the part about France ;)

But less girly, and more photgraphy. I spotted a well dressed lady with a camera in Kate Middleton's car and had to know who she was. Apparently she is Millie Pilkington. The press had stated earlier that it would be Hugo Burnand, who has quite some experience with royal weddings. I didn't know either photographers by the way. I don't really make it a sport knowing every possible wedding photographer but I do like the fact it was a girl for this one. In general it's still kindof a man's game and she really took charge (she was in the driver's seat, awesome).

I can't wait to see what the photos are going to be like. I saw some moments where I know I would have clicked ;)

Bp11

Did anyone else (clearly this photographer did) notice this little boy? He was hliarious.

  Bp29

I feel this was the first time they smiled genuinely, I can't imagine the pressure they were under in that church.

Bp32

I wanted to see this all day ;)

I stole all these gorgeous pictures from The Big Picture (from the Boston.com) website. Please go there, I spend hours on it.

High School Music Competition: Finals

In the 'Paard van Troje',

on the first day of easter, six bands were very busy with competing instead of looking for eggs. Though I must admit there was someone outside in a chick-suit handing out choclat eggs. Score!

I was three hours early (seriously how do I do this) and had a lot of time to see all the bands coming in and do some last minute rehearsals in the backstage. Somehow I love this competition and I love seeing the bands play on the several shows they win (if they come in first/second/third). The youngest there was a 13-year-old drummer for who the judges had no words to describe. He was so f-ing awesome! Winners were my personal favorite Roufaida & Pluck.

Not even going to post a live shot, their reaction was so fabulous.

The Popunie proved themselves super flexible and great organizers once again. They added some new elements to the competition and there was also a prize for the band who had the best interpretation of the poem that was written by Renske (14 years!).

Renske! I quote 'I'm afraid of the camera, but not of you!'. I think that's the best thing to hear ;)

Also Tijdde from Alpine hearing was there, who measured me some new plugs. Yeah! I'll make a seperate blog about this, I think it's superduper important.

Fexet! They became third!

The judges were supposed to sit on these barstools all day long. They didn't ;)

DSC_1523 copy please
The funkadelic band Pleae, who placed second!

It was a great day again with such great talent. I always love taking photos at this competition!

Survey!

Yeah Baby!

Ok maybe survey's aren't that fun, but I'd like to write stuff that you know, isn't stupid. I'm considering making tutorials on photography topics, and maybe later also on how to create
